The App uses Firebase Analytics (a service by Google) to help us understand how the app is used. This may collect:

• Device information (model, operating system version).
• Usage data (screens visited, session duration).
• Installation UUIDs (to track unique installs).

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

• Core Functionality: To calculate your daily caloric and macronutrient needs using specific formulas based on your physical stats.
• Tracking: To maintain a history of your food intake and weight changes over time.
• Authentication: To secure your account and allow you to log in across devices.

3. Device Permissions

Macro Tracker requires specific permissions to function:

• Camera: This permission is required solely for the barcode scanner feature (using the ZXing library) to quickly log food items. We do not record or save photos/videos from your camera.
• Internet: Required to sync your profile and food logs with our servers and to fetch product information from the database.

4. Age Limitation (18+)

Macro Tracker is intended for use only by adults aged 18 and over.

The nutritional formulas used in this App are designed for adult physiology and may not be accurate or safe for children or adolescents. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we discover that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.

5. Third-Party Services

We employ third-party companies and individuals due to the following reasons: to facilitate our Service, to provide the Service on our behalf, or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
